Our mission is to serve and nurture at-risk children, pregnant women, single parents, seniors, the homeless and victims of domestic abuse in Oklahoma, by providing food assistance and alleviating food insecurity through Nutrition Assistance Programs.
Oklahoma Heartland Heroes Foundation (Heartland Heroes) located in Bixby Oklahoma, is a cultural organization for disadvantaged children and a foundation partner with the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
Through the State Department of Education, we sponsor USDA Nutrition Assistance Programs
Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) and Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
Founded in 2018, Heartland Heroes is incorporated and registered in the state of Oklahoma and an IRS 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The charity is sustained by committed and compassionate volunteers and by the generous contributions of donors that give each the distinct title of a HEARTLAND HERO!
Short Term Goals
Reduce Green Country food insecurity by providing a reliable source of food assistance and sponsoring
USDA Nutrition Assistance Programs.
Long Term Goals
Improve Oklahoma food insecurity statistics, increase participation of Nutrition Assistance programs and
attainment of the conceptual: "HEARTLAND KITCHEN"
The vision for this multi-functional facility, is creating a unique space for hosting nutrition programs, educational workshops, cooking competitions, fundraising, special events and more!
